Meeting Her Majesty The Queen!

For once in my life I’m pretty speechless…

Can’t believe I’m typing this but I met and had a chat with her Majesty the Queen!

I can confidently say that it’s the most nervous I’ve ever been (or will ever be) to shake hands.

Not too sure what I said but I know I mentioned slime and making science awesome for a million kids. Her majesty was unbelievably gracious and complimentary. It makes me so proud to be British and so massively grateful to be able to do what I do. We’ll make science awesome for those million kids in no time!

P.S I realised on the drive home that I met the most famous human of all time. Seriously. That in itself is pretty mindboggling.

Not only that but by pure coincidence I met her Majesty on International Women’s Day. I was fortunate to meet the most famous human ever (who happens to be a woman) on International Women’s Day.  I couldn’t be more grateful.

P.P.S. This meeting was one of the most proud moments of my entire life. Watching the documentary ‘Our Queen at 90’ (it’s on ITV player if you missed it) has only made me even more proud. At almost 3 times my age our Queen’s enthusiasm and work-ethic are utterly inspirational.
