The Falling Egg Experiment - Transcript

Hi, Marc here with an awesome science experiment for you, best of all you only need a glass of water, one of the pan dishes and some eggs.

So hopefully this will go well, all we need is to get your water, make sure it’s pretty full, drink some for luck, put the pan on top; you also need a toilet roll, the actual roll itself so keep one of those on top of here.

You are going to put an egg on as well and then we going to hope for the best. So this one is all about inertia, the plan is to pull it quickly, the egg falls into the water and we shall see…3, 2, 1 and a half and a quarter.

That looks ok and the egg is still alive, so it’s all about ineria, as soon as you pull the plate away the egg is at rest or remains at rest, falls vertically down, lands in the water and you don’t get into a big mess.
